Special Events during the year
January
we join in on an old fashioned, horse-drawn sleigh ride. Sleigh
rides depend on a good snow base. If there is not enough snow, a
wagon will be substituted. Gather round a bonfire after the ride
and wrap your hands around a hot cup of cocoa. There is a
nominal charge for this outing.
February will find us gathering for a Cabin Fever Party. Leave your winter blues at the door. Escape into a night filled with fine eat, drink, and friends. Plenty of laughter and warmth found inside these walls to ward off the winter blues. April is the start of our riding season but before we do it all again, we must toast the previous year's activities at our Annual Banquet with Wacky Awards. Forget we are watching all year to come up with those awards. Just be yourself and maybe your name will be called. Summer
fire-pit parties are scheduled a few times throughout. Even if it isn't
pleasant, we aren't deterred. Just move the party inside.
Minus the fire, of course. Another gathering centered around food
and friends.
November involves more food at the Harvest Ride and Yankee feast. Traditional boiled dinner of ham and corn beef along with a ton of side dishes and desserts. Ride in the morning, feast in the afternoon. What better way to spend a day. December of course we host a Holiday Party with Yankee Swap. After a wonderful feed, the numbers are drawn and the party really begins. Swaps can be quite eventful and entertaining.
